Control Delegation
The Control Delegation module enables users to delegate control over their account to others, manage the duration of this delegation, specify reasons, and see who has given them control of their accounts. This feature is particularly useful for temporarily transferring account responsibilities or managing multiple accounts.
Delegate Control
The Delegate Control function allows users to assign another individual to manage their account. Key options include:
- Period column: Users can set a start date (From date) for the delegation, with the option to leave the end date open.
- Last Login column: Displays when the delegated user last accessed the owner user's account.
- Add Button: Opens a popup for selecting users to delegate control to. After selecting a user, the account owner can choose the period and specify a reason for delegation.
Users Under Your Control
Displays a list of users who have delegated control to the current user, with a "Sign In" button that allows switching to the account owner's account.
- Period column allows setting a start date (From date) without requiring an end date.
- Reload Button: Refreshes the list of users who are under your control.
When signed in to another account, the user menu includes a "Back to Account" button.
